|Shipping Your Quilt to Silver Needle Stitching|
You may ship your quilt top and backing to us via the United States Postal Service, UPS or Federal Express. We would suggest carefully wrapping them in plastic after following the instructions on the Quilt Preparation tab. A more tightly packed box arrives less wrinkled than one loosely packed. If you use something other than crumpled white tissue paper to finish filling the box your top and backing should be completely covered with plastic to prevent ink from transferring onto them. The Order Form is a downloadable and printable PDF file. Fill it out and keep one copy for your records and send one copy with your quilt. If you would like to work with us by phone we will gladly fill out the form and mail two copies to you for signature. One to be retained by you and the other to include with your quilt when shipping.
You will be notified when your quilt arrives and it will immediately be unpacked and hung to await quilting. Any slight wrinkling from being packed will be pressed free of charge.
It is your choice whether to add additional insurance from your shipper. While at the Silver Needle Stitching Studio your quilt top and back are covered for fire, theft etc. under our business insurance for the value of the fabric in your quilt. It will not, however, cover the value of the time spent creating them. It is helpful if you have recorded this amount on the Order Sheet.
We do require a 50% down payment of the Order Sheet Estimate before any work is begun on your quilt. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover Credit Cards; Visa, MasterCard and Discover Bank Debit Cards; Money Orders and Personal Checks. Unless otherwise directed your quilt will be returned via the United States Postal Service. Your quilt will arrive wrapped in plastic. We advise unpacking your quilt and removing it from the plastic as soon as possible. Long term contact with plastic can be damaging to your quilt.
Shipping charges and any applicable tax will be added to the estimated price on your Order Sheet. Any charges, other than shipping and applicable tax, over 5% of the amount stated on the Order Sheet must be approved by you before being added to the remaining balance. If you desire any additional insurance above the standard $__________ provided by the Unites States Post Office will also be added to the remaining balance.
Payment of the remaining balance must be received before your quilt will be shipped.
